Monday Morning Bridge (MCC)bridge web

Mondays, 9:45 a.m.-1p.m.
Open to MCC district residents. Participants will be asked to sign in upon arrival.

For intermediate level Bridge players. Participants should arrive by 9:45 a.m. to be included in the rotation for games, which begin at 10 a.m. Play will go for six, half-hour rounds.

 

Tuesday Night Bridge (MCC)

Tuesdays, 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Open to MCC district residents. Participants will be asked to sign in upon arrival.

For intermediate level Bridge players.

 

Wednesday Morning Mah-Jongg (MCC)

Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Open to MCC district residents. Participants will be asked to sign in upon arrival.

Come join your neighbors and make new friends while playing mah-jongg. There will be no formal instruction, so players should have a basic understanding of the rules and should have the current American Mah-Jongg League card. Questions? Contact Elaine Varner at emvarner@verizon.net.

 

Wednesday Practice and Play Bridge (MCC)

Wednesdays, 2-5 p.m.
Open to MCC district residents. Participants will be asked to sign in upon arrival.

For beginning level Bridge players. This Practice and Play session will provide an opportunity for those players who have either taken one or more bridge classes, have had previous experience and are seeking review, or who are just starting to play.

 

Friday Night Bridge (MCC)

Fridays, 7-10 p.m.
Open to MCC district residents. Participants will be asked to sign in upon arrival.

For intermediate lvel Bridge players.

 

Please note: Open Activities and Games at MCC are subject to change and may be cancelled due to centerwide special events, programs, activities and holidays. In the event of inclement weather, cancellation of these activities and games will follow the MCC Inclement Weather Policy.

 


 

Open Bridge at the Old Firehouse (OFC)

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Come join friends and neighbors for these free playing sessions. Players must have a basic understanding of Bridge play (MCC offers classes for players who are new to the game). Bridge games are open to MCC district residents and their guests. Participants will be asked to sign in each time they attend. Please note that room location and availability are subject to change without notification. New participants should contact the Old Firehouse (703-448-8336) the week before they plan to attend a session so they can be included in the player rotation schedule.

 

Drop-In Table Tennis (OFC)

Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.-2p.m.

Bring a partner and come play on the professional tables at The Old Firehouse. Players should bring their own paddles. Participants will be asked to sign in each time they attend.

 

Drop-In Computer Lab (OFC)

Tuesdays, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Stop by and use our 12-seat computer lab to check your email, do some research or just surf the web. Limited computer assistance is available. Participants will be expected to sign in each time they attend.

 

Please note: The Old Firehouse follows Fairfax County Public Schools' (FCPS) delay/closure schedule. If FCPS has a delayed opening, Open Activities will still take place. If FCPS cancels school or has an early release, Open Activities will be canceled for that day.
