Rebecca Blacksten is a Sophomore at McLean High School who is an avid performer and set decoration head-in-training. Recently, she has been honored to play Alice in "You Can't Take It With You" at Stagedoor Manor, and was in every McLean High show last year. Rebecca is a Girl Scout, contemporary dancer and a lover of popcorn. She is so excited for her first year of UTP!
Ariana Colder is a junior at McLean High School and is currently working with Theatre McLean's tech crews. She really likes the TV show “New Girl” and cookies n' cream ice cream. She's been doing theatre since she was in elementary school and is really excited to be a part of UTP.
Sage Harris is a freshman at Sandy Spring Friends School in Maryland where she is an active member in the Wildebeats acapella group. She has been involved with theatre for four years and was recently in a production of “Tammy” in Long Lake, NY. Sage has also performed in “Antigone” (RoundHouse Theatre), "Comedy of Errors" (Shakespeare Theatre) and "Spooky Hollow" (Everyman Theatre). She has been playing lacrosse since she was 11 years old and was voted MVP three times in a row. This is her first year being a member in UTP and she is excited to explore improv.
Hidaya Hussen is a Senior at Annandale High School, a member of Annandale Singers and a social media activist. Hidaya auditioned for her first theatrical production this spring, landing the role of Fairy God Mother in Rodger and Hammerstein’s "Cinderella." Out of school, she specializes in the study of giving attitude while simultaneously being the Goddess she is, breathing poetry and excreting song. This is her first year as a member of UTP.
Eric Johnson is an avant-garde thespian who is currently enrolled in the tenth grade of BASIS Washington DC. He has performed in mainly classical theatre and various school productions, and has some experience in film. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, storytelling and studying classics. This is his first year of UTP and he is thrilled to dive into a new ensemble.
Raya Kenney is a sophomore who currently attends school in her dining room—she is homeschooled. She is an avid writer and a lover of a good book. She has taken Shakespeare classes for five years and coauthored and performed in a National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts production “Cashell Alley Kids Kick It Old School.” As part of that work, she participated in the Page to Stage festival at the Kennedy Center. When Raya isn't doing theatre, she loves to curl up with her cats, binge watch “The Office,” write poetry, eat guacamole and make short films and advertisements for ridiculous products. This is Raya’s second glorious year of UTP.
Ioana Marin is a junior at Annandale High School. She participates in the Annandale Theatre Company and Atomic Confusion Improv Team. She is also a cappie. In the past two years, she has had the supportive role of Servant in "Blood Wedding" and understudied the role of Helsa in "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940." She moved here from Romania in 2015 where she studied piano at the Arts School of Iasi. This is her first year as part of the UTP.
Adriano Moran is excited to be in the Unruly Theatre Company. He is in 9th grade and is already in his high school musical, "Heathers." His past productions include: "Aladdin," "Alice in Wonderland," "High School Musical," "Annie" and "The Magic Hat." He also was featured in his middle school improv team. Long story short, he is a complete theatre kid. Adriano hopes that one day he will make it on broadway or be an "Saturday Night Live" player. He is really glad to have met the other UTP company members and is grateful for the opportunity.
Ren Wallace is a sophomore at Langley High School, where she participates in the theatre and tech theatre clubs. Recently, she has been promoted to co-head of the construction department in tech theatre. In her spare time, Ren likes to draw, write and play/compose music for the ukulele. This is her first year with UTP.
