School Break Trips

For 5th-9th Graders


On Fairfax County Public Schools' Teacher Work days and school breaks, 5th-9th graders can join the Old Firehouse Teen Center on fun-filled trips! These trips depart from and return to the Old Firehouse located at 1440 Chain Bridge Road. Participants must bring clothes appropriate for the day’s activity. A signed OFTC Participant Contract is required. Some trips also require a signed waiver. Forms are available online or at the Old Firehouse. Please turn in forms before the day of the trip. The Old Firehouse is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. for each day’s trip participants.

Please Note:  Trips may change due to weather conditions, location availability or other unforeseeable issues. The OFTC will make every effort to ensure replacement trips are as similar as possible to the trip originally planned. Please view our refund policy. 



Teacher Work Days


Timeline Arcade plus Magic Elm Skateland (lunch provided)

Tighten up those laces and hit the rink as we skate the day away at Magic Elm Skateland. After skating, unwind at Timeline Arcade, an arcade that takes you back into the early days of video games with classic pinball machines and games. Admission, skate rental, arcade games and a pizza lunch are included.



Skiing at Massanutten Resort
$135/$115 MCC district residents

Let’s hit the slopes! Ski or snowboard rental, a lift ticket and charter bus transportation are included in the fee. Upon registration lessons will be available for an additional fee. Note: Discounts are available for participants who own skis, a snowboard or a current lift ticket. Please contact the Old Firehouse for more information.


Bazooka Ball Sports

$35/$25 MCC district residents

Bazooka Ball  is a children's friendly version of paintball. Instead of actual paint balls, they use air soft balls which are gentle. Bazooka Ball is played in a glow-in-the dark arena! With regular paintball markers, 2" foam balls with high impact sensor vests, and real time electronic scoring and sound effects. Bazooka Ball along with lunch is included in the fee.



Funland Fredricksburg

Feel the need for speed on the go-kart track, hop on a ride or test your arcade skills while experiencing much more at Funland Fredricksburg.



Medieval Times

$65/$55 MCC district residents

Witness jousting and majestic creatures, while enjoying a meal fit for kings and queens as we travel back to medieval times.

Rebounderz and Sudden Combat

This is a unique trampoline facility in the area. With the opportunity for casual jumping or testing your trampoline dodge ball skills, Rebounderz has something for everyone. Following Rebounderz, we’ll experience Sudden Combat, the first live action scenario gaming experience in Northern Virginia.

G-Force Karts

Dave & Buster’s Arcade

Eat, drink and play games! Dave & Buster’s is one of the best dining and entertainment attractions around. Lunch, a $25 game card with unlimited arcade game play, bowling, billiards and shuffleboard are included. Bring money for additional game tickets, if desired.
