The McLean Community Center is always looking for great volunteers. We have many opportunities for students and adults. If you would like to sign up to be a McLean Community Center volunteer, please download and fill out the VOLUNTEER APPLICATION form here. Return the form to us by email, fax or regular mail.

Types of Volunteer Opportunities:

• Helping with admission to events
• Working in the face painting/temporary tattoos for kids areas
• Handing out programs or flyers at events
• Managing vendor or exhibitor check-in at events
• Working as an usher at the Alden Theatre
• Helping with Family Bingo Nights
• Helping with set-up and/or clean-up at events
• Selling T-shirts or other merchandise at events
• Helping with kids’ activities
• Assisting with hospitality areas for vendors/volunteers/performers
• Becoming a member of the McLean Day Street Team

You can volunteer for any of the upcoming events at the McLean Community Center by contacting Diane Cruz (703-790-0123) or sending an email to diane.cruz@fairfaxcounty.gov Indicate the event you'd like to volunteer for and the Position/Shift as indicated in the list below. If the position is filled you will be contacted about alternate available positions or shift times. Please plan on arriving at least 15-20 minutes prior to the start of your shift time. You may sign up for multiple shifts. Please indicate if you need a community service letter. We look forward to working with you!

There will be an orientation for all Street Team Volunteers on THURSDAY, MAY 15 at 4:00pm at Lewinsville Park (at the House located in the park behind the baseball field).  One hour of community service will be awarded to all who attend.
