This award-winning facility, the first of its kind in the metropolitan D.C. area, provides a safe atmosphere for teens to meet for recreation and personal development. Professional and experienced staff members organize and facilitate activities each day, ensuring that teens do not have to return home to empty houses. They can enjoy their time at the Old Firehouse Teen Center (OFTC) after school and during the summer. Opened in 1990, the building formerly operated as a local fire station is now a satellite of the McLean Community Center.

•   7th-12th graders, apply by Sept. 17 to be a member of our Teen Council! The OFTC is looking for fun and dedicated teens to be on this year's Teen Council. As a member of the Teen Council, you will develop your leadership skills and make new friends as you help plan and implement programs at the OFTC. Time spent working on Teen Council activities qualifies for volunteer hours.
