More than Just a Friday Night Dance
The Old Firehouse Teen Center (OFTC) operates as a satellite program of the McLean Community Center. OFTC is located at 1440 Chain Bridge Road, next to the Giant Shopping Center. Contact us at 703-448-TEEN or MCC-OFTC@fairfaxcounty.gov.  
 
This award-winning facility, the first of its kind in the Metropolitan D.C. area, provides a safe atmosphere for teens to meet for recreation and personal development. Professional and experienced staff members organize and facilitate activities each day, ensuring that teens do not have to return home to empty houses. They can enjoy their time at OFTC after school and during the summer. Opened in 1990, the building formerly operated as a local fire station.

Important Reminder:

Pick-Up Policy
Parents must come into the building to pick up their children from any OFTC program, except for the drop-in hours program. A parent who is more than five minutes late picking up his or her child will be charged $1 per minute, per child, if the parent is late without prior notification.

Snow Days (Inclement Weather)
The Old Firehouse Teen Center follows the Fairfax County Government in these situations.  For example: if Fairfax County schools are closed, but Fairfax County Government is open the Firehouse will be open from 10 am to 6 pm (our regular work day). If the Fairfax County Government is on a two hour delay then the Firehouse will be open from noon to 6pm.

If Fairfax County Schools decide to close early there will be NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM. If the Fairfax County Government decides to close early while the kids are at the Firehouse we will call parents, and ask them to pick their children up as soon as possible.
