Fluffy Thoughts Cakes Will Join the International Food Court at McLean Day
05/01/13, McLean, VA— McLean’s favorite new bakery, Fluffy Thoughts Cakes, has joined the food court at the McLean Day 2013 festival. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Lewinsville Park, 1659 Chain Bridge Road. Produced by the McLean Community Center (MCC), admission to the festival is free, as are rides on the shuttle buses.
Fluffy Thoughts, whose cake artists have won awards for their creations, will offer a variety of specialty cupcakes for sale. Also new this year, candy apples and other snacks being offered by Reithoffer Shows in the ride area and the McLean Rotary Club will offer pizza to their popular menu items. Asian, Greek and Nigerian and Mexican cuisine will be available, as well as an array of favorite American festival fare. Food booths are conveniently located throughout the park. Many food vendors also are located adjacent to the large tent with picnic tables as you approach the carnival ride area. Locations and menu selections can be found in the McLean Day supplement that will be handed out at the information booth just inside the park’s entrance.

The festival will be held rain or shine. Parking will not be allowed at Lewinsville Park on the day of the festival. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., free shuttle buses will run from the park to McLean Baptist Church, 1367 Chain Bridge Rd., Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1545 Chain Bridge Road, and MCC, 1234 Ingleside Avenue. Starting at 10 a.m., shuttle carts, similar to the ones used at airports, will run from Lewinsville Senior Center to the park. The shuttle picks up from the rear of the building on Evers Drive.
