Join in the yuletide celebration by visiting the most spectacular gardens on the East Coast, Longwood Gardens. Each year, the phenomenal Christmas displays in the conservatory are recognized throughout the United States. This year promises to be no exception, for there will be hundreds of fresh flowers, wreaths, trees and lights to delight people of all ages. Lunch will be in the completely redesigned café, which offers fresh fare from soups and salads to delicious entrees. The gift shop is the perfect place to find stunning home accessories and whimsical gifts.After we tour Longwood Gardens, we’ll take a guided tour of the DuPont estate, which includes Hagley, the very first home of the DuPont family in America and Eleutherian Mills, the gunpowder works. The tour will explain how DuPont began with a gunpowder formula in the 1800s and became one of the largest corporations in the United States. The ancestral home will be beautifully decorated for the holidays. Sign up early, bring a friend and do not miss this unique day that will truly put one in the holiday spirit!
