Imagination Station
Join the fun as we discover all the wild places your imagination can take you. Explore the world of the actor through theater games and the acting out of stories with props and costumes. Instructors: Dana McLeod and Jeff Virchow.
Grades 1-3

The Performer
Students will be introduced to the art of acting through theater games as they explore the use of voice and movement for the stage. Instructors: Dana McLeod and Jeff Virchow.

Winter/Spring Workshops
Theatre Games
Play theatre games that enhance your skills as an actor. Alden staff instructor, Jeff Virchow will lead students in games that will strengthen an actor’s voice, stage movement and character creation.
Grades 4-6

Let’s Pretend
Students will act out a fairy tale using props and costumes. This fun class will be taught by Alden staff instructor, Dana McLeod.

Stage Combat
En garde!! Students will learn the specialized theatrical technique designed to create the illusion of physical combat. General basics will be taught in this one hour workshop by Alden staff instructor, Jeff Virchow.

Mime
Learn basic mime techniques from local expert, Mark Jaster. The Washington Post called him “clown extraordinaire and one of the most graceful performers you will ever see on a stage.” www.markjaster.com
