Digital Kidz
Digital Kidz, an education and technology company, works to integrate technology into the learning process. Classes use developmentally appropriate software to engage students in creative play, problem solving and conversation. The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, including digital photography, graphic design, keyboarding and multi-media. Through the magic of the Internet, students will travel to all parts of the world to expand their summer camp experience.
For children ages 4-6
The Rainforests and Beyond
For ages 4-6. During this camp, students travel the globe, learning about the rainforest and its animal inhabitants. Students experience the rainforest through virtual travel to the Great Barrier Reef, African desert and humpback whale-inhabited oceans through Web cams. Through this experience and visits from live exotic animals, students develop an appreciation for these fragile ecosystems. Instructor: Sandra Beyer

Become a Digital Artist!
For ages 4-6. Students use the computer to work individually and collaboratively on projects that integrate traditional art mediums—painting, drawing and collage–with digital media—digital photography, animation, sound and video. Age appropriate computer programs help students learn about famous artists, artworks and art styles while learning the basic principles of art. Virtual tours of some of the world’s most famous art museums complement the camp experience. Instructor: Sandra Beyer

Traveling the World
For ages 4-6. Children gain an international experience in this interactive camp. Students match pictures in a card game from Argentina, paint and decorate artwork from Kenya, dress up puppets in traditional Japanese kimonos and taste French culinary delights. Instructor: Sandra Beyer

Mind Blowing Science July
For ages 4-6. Hands-on-science and computer-based learning work together to incite an interest in science. Young scientists blast off flying rockets, make snow in August, grow colored crystals and mix safe powders to create solutions that foam and fizz. Students also learn to program a robot to move, react and make sounds. Instructor: Sandra Beyer

Kindergarten Edge
For ages 4-6. Interactive computer programs make preparing for kindergarten fun. Familiar characters—Caillou and Zobbomafoo—engage students with educational and entertaining activities. Dynamic games reinforce spelling, math, comparison, vocabulary, measuring, matching, reading, numbers, spatial relationship and pattern recognition skills. Instructor: Sandra Beyer

Aventures in Cartooning & Digital Animation
For ages 7-10. Students learn how to apply their artistic skills and original artwork to create their own sophisticated animations. After students create designs, master basic animation techniques and create a storyline, they craft their own computer-generated cartoon. Instructor: Sandra Beyer

Digital Imaging and Morphing
For ages 7-10. Students learn basic digital camera and imaging skills to perfect their shots. Young photographers learn to upload pictures to the Web, create photo collages and produce digital image videos personalized with music, narration and simple animations. Students amaze family and friends with transformations as images gradually morph into each other like on TV and movies. Instructor: Sandra Beyer

Digital Movie Making
For ages 7-10. Calling all budding movie directors and creative film buffs. Using computer movie-making programs, students shoot, edit footage and burn three-minute movies to a DVD.
