If You Give a Kid a Paintbrush
Activity No. 6401.110
This camp centers on a popular children’s book series that features a mouse, a pig and a moose! Campers will create some very cool art by painting, printing, stamping and designing. They’ll have great fun with experimentation. If you give a child imaginative art supplies, there’s no telling what he or she will create! Fueled by music, games and fun activities, children’s imaginations are sure to go wild!

Week 2, July 12-16

Colorama

Activity No. 6402.110
Get messy or stay clean but don’t let the chance to express yourself go by. Today’s the day to add a little color to your life while you study a very important element of art—color theory! Jump into a painting with Jackson Pollock or help Picasso create Le Bouquet! A most colorful week!

Week 3, July 19-23

Beach Party

Activity No. 6403.110
Get ready for some wet and sandy fun! Design your own sun visor, move to the party music and create some incredible underwater art! Learn about the world-famous sidewalk chalk artist Julian Beever while we create unique sidewalk designs. There will be an Obsta-COOL course, spray bottle painting, sand and shell designs, beach party day and more fun on the run.

Week 4, July 26-30

Art That’s Good Enough to Eat

Activity No. 6404.110
Get your spoon, paintbrush and chocolate syrup ready—we’re going to create art! From cupcake design, to mosaics with food, to chocolate syrup painting—it’s all about the wonderful and wacky world of food art! We’ll build spaghetti sculptures, learn about food artists such as Vik Muniz, and play “foodie” games. We’ll even make our own incredible edibles! Note no peanuts or peanut oils will be used.

Week 5, August 2-6

Green Kids in a Colorful World

Activity No. 6405.110
Green Kids care about the environment, and we do too at Abrakadoodle! Our Green Kids create Santon statues inspired by peasants from the Provence region of France, produce CD art in the style of Piet Mondrian and make Chilean rain sticks and Tiffany lamp sculptures. Each work of art is a masterpiece made with recycled materials that both decorate our world and help to keep our environment clean! We use many, many colors but our emphasis is on GREEN.
