Evita

Argentina's controversial First Lady, Eva Peron, is the subject of this world-famous musical masterpiece. The show traces Eva's escape from a dirt-poor existence to stardom at 22, the president's mistress at 24, to First Lady at 27, and to death at 33.  Told through a compelling score that fuses haunting chorales with exuberant Latin, pop, and classical influences, Evita creates an arresting theatrical portrait as complex as the woman herself.
